Claire and Georgina from our Marketing Agency Glow Creative joined the nationwide CEO Sleepout on Monday 30th April. They were joined by the Right Reverand Paul Butler, Bishop of Durham and the very Reverend Andrew Tremlet, Dean of Durham.

CEO Sleepout is a nationwide initiative which brings together business leaders to fight poverty in the region.

Some of the charities that are being supported will help the homeless and those living in poverty and hardship.
Changing Lives
Durham Action on Single Housing
Foodcycle
East Durham Trust
Sanctuary 21
Hospitality and Hope
Durham Cristian Partnership
Durham Cathedral

Georgina from Glow commented after the event.

“We are really please to be involved with the CEO Sleepout. It is no fun sleeping rough and it was very humbling to experience what many people have to put up with on a daily basis. Although we joined at the last minute, Glow was still able to raise over £500 for the cause, and as a group, CEO Sleepout Durham raised over £23,000 in total, which will be put towards helping the North East’s key homeless charities. During the night we experienced a low of 1 degree Celsius, which felt extremely cold, but at least we knew it was just for one night. Our hearts go out to all those who have to put up with sleeping rough for any longer than this- there has to be a better way. ”

If you would like to support Glow Creative or any of the charities then please donate online. Even a small amount will make a difference to peoples lives who are living in desperate circumstances and sleeping rough.
