Drilcorp continue their investment in staff training. | Lifting Equipment Inspectors Course
Like any company training and development of staff is key to the success of the business and to the wellbeing and safety of their employees. Drilcorp staff are the backbone of our business and we continue to invest heavily in training our workforce in all aspects of Health and Safety needed to comply with the changing environment. Regular updates and refresher courses help us to keep things on track and to ensure that we always meet our commitment to Health and Safety.
September has been no exception and Drilcorp staff have received training in the following disciplines.
Refresher Training for Lifting Equipment Inspectors Course. This was provided by Lloyds British. Candidates were Scott Gowans, Ken McCarthy and Chris Dickenson.
Full Lifting Equipment Inspectors Training which covers all aspects of compliance with the LOLER Regulations 1998. Candidates were Greg Reid, Jake Caldecott and Kris Johnston.
LOLER covers any business or person who operates or controls lifting equipment and ensures that operators are competent and safe in their ability to carry out the task.
CCNSG Training for the Site Safety Passport.
The CCNSG National Course is a two day course for basic site safety. It covers safe behaviours at work, risk assessments, noise, manual handling and various other aspects of site safety.

QEST Manager Dave Hastings said “The 2-day CCNSG course was well received by the candidates, who both enjoyed it. Although all of our team members hold various CSCS cards, the Site Safety Passport enables us to satisfy the engineering construction requirements of various refineries etc, again demonstrating our flexibility as a company”.
